A Linkbuilding Summary

Linkbuilding is the creating of incoming links from external web pages. These links are called backlinks or inlinks. With link building, you can focus on 2 different things: The quality and the quantity of the links. The hard part is Google’s privacy. They don’t release a lot of information about how Google works and that makes it hard to know what to focus on when you’re building links to your website.

Quality: Research has proven that one of the most important things of linkbuilding is getting high quality backlinks. This means you should get backlinks on websites that are in the same niche as your website. For example, if you’ve got a website about horses you shouldn’t ask for backlinks on a website about laptops. Getting quality inlinks is a lot of work, but it does pay off in the end.

Quantity: When focusing on quantity with your linkbuilding you have to pay attention to a few things. These are all focused on preventing Google to notice your spam, because the last thing you want is getting banned from the most used search engine. You need to make sure you don’t have a lot of backlinks coming from 1 domain. Also, even your spam links should contain quality. Quantity link building is a lot faster, but doesn’t always get the good results quality linkbuilding gets.

To get as high in Google as possible you should make sure you get a lot of good quality backlinks. This means you need to focus on both the quality and the quantity. There are different ways of doing this, but I’ll focus on those in another article. Getting these links might take some time but the result will be a high position in Google.
